One of my friend and I had a discussion in a retail supermarket seeing a chocolate on the display. Following is the conversation.
Me: The advertisement promo for the chocolate backfired badly as they intended to attract the youth, particularly women consumers by using a young hero as a brand ambassador.
Friend: The campaign for chocolates shouldn't be the way it is for this ad.
Me: Why do you think so?
Friend: They must have used a heroine (I'm not mentioning her name) and made her to bathe in chocolate syrup. Sales would have boomed.

Whether the sales would have boomed is a different thing to discuss. Am not a marketing practice blogger to review the pros & cons of the campaign on my blog. However the conversation struck me hard.
There's something the way the society is seeing women as an object of sex and a means to woo to attract something. While we know its a cold lie and real life isn't the way we see it in the media, why do people still intend to objectify women?
Do we not have sisters & mothers in our family whom we regard as good souls? Then why is it that we feel no shame to objectify women as an element of sex?
Such a scenario needs to change. Education has the power do that, although it would be a slow way to do that. But does those influencers in institutions willing to initiate that change? Post your similar & contrasting opinion below in comments section.
