If you want to continually learn, and stay up-to-date with trends, continue reading...
"Known is a drop, unknown is an ocean", is a proverb that got rooted in my thought process right from a childhood days. And as one learns and gains momentum and improves his/her competence, one must be very careful from letting in a natural uninvited guest in to our heads. The guest being, "I know it all attitude."
In order to learn, one must be curious and ready to unlearn what has been learnt already. Unlearning is the key to learning.
One must never have ego to learn from someone younger that themselves.
One must never have the thought, "I don't want to appear foolish, not knowing". Always one should remember, different people have exposure to different information at different phases of their life.
On a personal note, I am the eldest guy in my current MBA batch (class of '15) and on most occasions I had to learn Operations Research & Marketing Analytics with fellow students who were considerably much younger than myself. Had I had the I know it all attitude, Why should I ask a younger fellow kind of thoughts and ego in my head, I am sure I would not have gained A+ in my grade sheets.
Most important thing one must remember while learning is that, one must have gratitude to the one from whom we learned from. If this fails, just ask yourself, until when will you continue having good selfless sources to help you learn?
